2025 Now Go Build Award Winner

Raphael (Rafi) became a hero in 2015 and the second hero from APJ region. Rafi started 6 user groups in the Philippines, including the first non-binary user group called BuildHers+ and in the past 10 years he became one of the most respected community leaders in the region both AWS and others are alike. Rafi runs two podcasts, YoungCTO and Kaka Computer to encourage young and upcoming developers to become better in their craft. He also proactively mentors student developers to become next generation technology leaders.

He organized the first community-led Community Leaders Summit this year in the Philippines for a two day immersive leadership training and invited heroes, community builders and cloud club captains to join. Maria En-cinar, Nayoung Won Miller, Head of SA in the Philippines joined this event. Post event he shared a report and made the format available for the rest of the AWS community to organize by them-selves. Rafi very much deserve this award for his long standing commitment as a hero, passion, vision and determination.
